NOTICE – DELINQUENT PROPERTY TAXES
The delinquent property taxes listed below will be on the website until July 1, 2015. After July 1, 2015, the City of Shelbyville will begin FORECLOSURE PROCEEDINGS.
CITY OF SHELBYVILLE CLEAN-UP WEEK
APRIL 13-17, 2015
The City of Shelbyville, Department of Public Works, will implement a citywide clean-up April 13-17, 2015 for residents within the city limits. RESIDENTIAL ONLY. Appliances (except microwaves) will be picked up, but must have doors secured for safety reasons. Any small items must be bagged or boxed. Limbs must be stacked neatly in piles no higher than 4 feet tall. Limbs must be no longer than 6 feet and not larger than 6 inches in diameter. Limbs must be placed separate from other items. Items that will not be included: standard household garbage or truck bodies, asbestos, propane containers, dead animals, chemicals, microwaves, hazardous waste, or large quantities of material from building demolition or remodeling. Public Works reserves the right to leave any debris, if these stipulations are not met. Residents should contact the Public Works Department at 633-1094 to request a pick-up.
SHELBYVILLE WASTE & RECYCLING COLLECTION INFORMATION
March 4, 2015 – Republic Services will not be running residential collection routes in Shelbyville on Thursday due to the weather conditions. Per Mr. Butler at Republic Services, they will resume collection on Friday and complete the week’s routes on Saturday.
March 6, 2015 – Republic Services has notified us they are running very limited commercial and industrial today. Residential will not run again until Monday. Normal routes will begin again on Monday, March 9. Residents with Thursday and Friday collection will be collected as normal next week. Extra trash can be set out next week, if residents are unable to fit everything into the cart.
