 SHELBYVILLE FIRE & RESCUE will be accepting applications until June 19, 2013 for the position of full-time or part-time Firefighter. Testing will be Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Shelbyville Fire & Rescue Station 2 located at 99 Clubhouse Drive, Shelbyville, KY.  Testing will begin at 0900 hours.  Arrive by 0845 hours.

Minimum Requirements:  KY Certified Volunteer Firefighter, EMT-FR.  A certified EMT-B will receive 10 points credit to composite score.  The candidate must pass a written exam with a minimum score of 70% based on the “Essentials of Firefighting” Fifth Edition, oral interview, and physical examination.  A candidate who is IFSAC FF 1 and 2 certified may forego the written test and receive a written score of 80%.  A successful candidate must have a valid CPAT card at TIME OF HIRE.  Successful candidates will be placed on an eligibility list for both full and part-time positions.  The part-time firefighter will be called in on a rotational basis to backfill when a full-time firefighter is off or for other shift assignments as designated by the Chief.  For further information, please visit our website at www.shelbyvillefirerescue.com or call 502-633-7101, ext. 1.
